AWAY with something
way 가 아니라 away 였다...^^
01. Tax time in Korea
It’s the time of the year that people around the world dread tax season.
Americans and Canadians file their forms last month. The deadline for Korean to file their annual tax return is this month.
So don’t wait until the last minute to get it done. If your forms are complicated such as those people with multiple sources of income. Then you may have an accountant you can count on.
Most people probably wish they didn’t have to spend time fling out forms and paying more taxes.
But it doesn’t look like government is going to do away with it anytime soon.
** dread= really really don't like
** count on= depend on / rely on
EX) Don’t count on him= don’t trust him
** accountant = CPA
** away with something = get rid of something (but ‘way with sth’ is more like official expression)
Ex) I hope they do away with plastic bag at a grocery store soon.
Do away with= remove it completely or put on end to it
ex) The long-range goal must be to do away with nuclear weapons altogether.
