오늘 다이얼 로그를 듣는데 텍사스 아저씨 발음 진짜 못알아 듣겠....^^
예전엔 몰랐는데 이거 들으니 텍사스주 만의 그 말할 때의 특징이 뭔지 알 것 같다는 ㅋㅋ
느릿~느릿~하면서 발음이 둥글게 말리는 느낌이랄까???
그리고 미국도 주 별로 요리 하는 방법 즐겨먹는 요리도 달라서 서로 경쟁한다는데 ㅋㅋ 신기하당.

A: Hey, what are you doing? The house is filled with smoke.
B: I am making Texas style BBQ. But it’s raining. So I had to bring the grill onto the porch.
A: I am going to have to air out the house for few days. Why are you doing this anyway?
B: My supervisor Brad, he’s from Texas. So I thought we have him and his wife over.
A: That’s funny. Because I saw his wife at the grocery store. And she said they’re heading out of town for a week.
B: I don’t know. I must’ve gotten the date mixed up. I hope you like brisket.
** get the date/time/location mixed up: I get confused about the date/time/location
Ex) I got the date mixed up. I thought the test will be tomorrow.
** mixed up: confuse
ex) I am mixed up = I am confused
** have someone over: invite someone to my place / you have them come to your place
** air out: open windows or doors and get some fresh air to get rid of some smell or smoke
Ex) we need to open the window and air this place out
Ex) A: why are you hanging the clothe? B: I had a dinner at the bbq restaurant. I need to air it out
** that’s funny: that’s weird/ odd/ strange
** head out : leave a place
I am heading out = I am leaving
Head out to: specific place 언급 I am heading out to my family / to see my friend
