이번달은 로스엔젤레스 시리즈 구나!! 지난번 베니스비치에 이어 오늘은 베버리힐즈에 대한 내용!!

가본적은 없지만 어마어마 하겠지? 

오늘 공부하면서 궁금했던 건... It’s hard to believe people need houses this big.  house this big 문법적으로 이해가 안가는데.. 구글링 해니 이런 문장은 있었다. 'I love you this big'  나 너를 사랑해 에서 너를 강조해서 this big 을 붙인거 같은데 house this big 도 그런 맥락으로 보면 될까?

 

그리고 이 부분에서 'throw a quite party in a house the size of a hotel'

in a house 가 나오고 the size of a hotel 이렇게 나오는데 중간에 뭐가 생략이 된 것일까?....... 하 

문알못(문법알지못하는) 인 난 어렵다

뭘까 계속 생각하다가 모르겠어서 그냥.. 일단 넘어가기로 @-@  나중에 생각나서 알게 되면 다시 여기에 적어 봐야지.

듣기 하면서 딕테이션 하는게 은근 이렇게 시간이 많이 걸릴 줄 몰랐다. ㅋㅋ  

나름 정확하게 올리고 싶은데 더 노력해 봐야지 ㅜㅜ

B: I think It’s more about making a good impression than actually needing a big house.

A: I imagine you could throw a quite party in a house the size of a hotel

B: Look, that house is on the market. If you have an extra 26million dollars in your bank account, you could move here and party like a rock star too.

ex) that's the tip of the iceberg

    The issuses that we faced now are just the tip of the iceberg.

 

 

** throw (quite) a party: to have a party/ to hold a party

보통 have/ hold a party 많이 쓰는데 throw a party 는 첨 들어봐서 신기했?다 ㅋ

 

ex) Let's throw quite a party!!

 

** It’s hard to believe: I don’t quite understand
