11. My sister doesn’t respect my life style
A: Riky, what’s wrong?
B: Ever since I move in with my sister, she has been very passive-aggressive about me being a vegan.
A: That’s strange. I think your sister could learn a thing or two about healthy eating from you even if she didn’t give up animal products. What did she do to you?
B: Well, she will cook dinner and tell me it’s vegan, then when we’re about to eat she will tell me she added pork or chicken.
A: So she says one thing and then does the opposite. Well, that’s not very nice.
B: And don’t get me started about all the leather and fur she wears.
** move in with somebody: to start living with somebody
** passive-aggressive: negative action but the way they show it positive/
being angry but pretending to be someone nice
Ex) My boss said my report is great but not as good as John’s. =>> It sounds like classical passive aggressive behavior.
** learn a thing or two: learn/ gain more information about something
Ex) I could learn a thing or two about cooking from my mom.
=>>I know how to cook but gain more information or tips from my mom
** don’t get me started: I don’t even want to start to talk about it. Because it’s too much to say or I don’t like this topic.
